Forbes "30 Under 30"
Energy 2019

2019 INFLUENCERS Rising Stars

With the help of family who was visiting Bangladesh last summer, I got raw water samples from across the Rohingya refugee camps tested for contaminants and designed a low-cost, no-power household filtration unit.

Meanwhile, we ran a crowdfunding campaign for the initial pilot of 100 units. We exceeded our fundraising goal and will be delivering this solution to provide clean drinking water to 500 refugees, many of whom are children. It took a great deal of trial and error to create a solution that could filter the shockingly high contaminant levels, particularly bacteria and fluoride.
